UP The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement

UP – The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement is the UK’s only charity dedicated exclusively to adults with cerebral palsy. Founded in 2018 by Emma Livingstone and physiotherapist Miriam Creeger, UP exists to ensure that the estimated 130,000 adults living with CP in the UK are no longer overlooked by healthcare, policy, or wider society.

UP works across three areas: building an active peer community through events, online sessions, and its Virtual Community Centre; driving systemic change by working with clinicians, researchers, and parliamentarians to improve lifelong care pathways; and empowering self-advocacy, so that people with CP have a genuine voice in the decisions that affect their lives. Membership is free and open to adults with CP, families, carers, healthcare professionals, and allies.
