The Milestone Club is a free provision for children 0 -3 years old who are displaying a delay in meeting their milestones of child development.
We are specialised in working with children with Cerebral Palsy. Our approach is also highly effective for children with Down syndrome and has proven beneficial for many children with genetic or unknown conditions which cause movement delays. We understand that at this young age children may not have a diagnosis therefore we do not base our approach on your child’s clinical diagnosis but rather based on our observations on how we can help you and your child best. Whatever the situation it is vital that you are able to access specialist support and advice as soon as possible.
The sessions run on a daily basis with children typically attending one session every week or every fortnight. They are designed for parents and children under the age of 3 years.
The sessions offer an opportunity to work as a part of a small group and take part in a range of activities designed to promote the development of your child. The conductors will show you techniques for helping your child develop and ways of engaging them in play and other everyday activities.
Following the session parents have an opportunity to chat and share ideas, concerns and achievements. These sessions provide an excellent start for both the parents and the child and help start the process of developing those important skills as the child grows.
When your child is approaching three years old, the Conductors will discuss with you which services will be the most beneficial for your child.
